What you will gain
Alliance Theatre's Residential Classes give you the unique opportunity to learn and develop your skills or step out on stage for the first time. Our courses are designed to suit adults and the more mature student, theys are not for children. You will:

Our Courses
Alliance Theatre has developed two courses which compliment each other but remain standalone so that they can be taken individually or together. The structure of each course is designed to give you a full and immersive experience over a period of 5 days.


Workshop Course- 5 days of acting skills techniques, performance practice.

  • Day 1 Understanding the script 
  • Day 2 Embodying the role 
  • Day 3 Performance techniques 
  • Day 4 Adaptation and interpretation 
  • Day 5 Masterclass 

Performance Course- 5 days of intensive rehearsal, ending in performance on stage.

  • Day 1 Analysis of the play 
  • Day 2 Improvisation 
  • Day 3 Rehearsal 
  • Day 4 Technical Rehearsal 
  • Day 5 Performance in front of a live audience
